Perched above a basement apartment, this rooftop balcony offers sweeping views of the Sussex countryside. To open up the space, we replaced the original stone structure with glass — revealing uninterrupted vistas and allowing more natural light into the home. A glass balustrade was installed, composite decking laid, and the surrounding stonework carefully repointed.

We also upgraded the cladding on the main house to a durable composite material, eliminating the need for regular painting and reducing long-term maintenance costs for the homeowner.

As part of the wider project, we refurbished the exterior of the pool house — repointing the brickwork, securing and tidying the structure, and laying new Indian sandstone paving to complete the finish.
